This creamy, dreamy, jade-and-ivory piece is one-of-a-kind, gently hand-stretched and hand-stitched to the frame panel by panel. This shade is made with hand-dyed dupion silk, silk-satin, and a beautiful, slightly crinkled silk-chiffon.
I dip-dyed the silk-chiffon for the pleated rosette panels to create a jade-to-ivory ombre which i love, it's subtle and matches so nicely with the ombre dip-dyed fringing.
The lace is a stunning bronze sequinned tulle, overlaying a hand-dyed silk satin that has the most luxurious sheen. To match and complement that bronze warmth, I airbrushed a bronze gradient border onto ivory panels of silk, which I overlaid with a delicate gold lace.
I found the perfect combination of cream, bronzes and jade glass beads, the perfect jewellery to finish the shade, along with a pretty, gold braided trim.
This is a bright shade, that gives off a strong but really nicely diffused light. A warm, low wattage bulb creates a gorgeous shmoozey glow.
