✨🩷🧡✨ I’ve been DYING to finish this one, but had to wait on two different bead orders until I found what I wanted… it’s been in my brain for so long and it’s so good to finally get it out.
The six larger panels are created with double layers of hand-dyed dupion silk (I use @ritdye) in a pink-to-orange ombré colour, overlaid with a champagne embroidered tulle, all hand-stitched to their cotton-wrapped frames. The smaller panels are double-layered pink and orange dyed dupion silk overlaid with a gently pleated silk chiffon, hand dyed in a light peach colour.
I dip-dyed the rayon fringe in the same orange to pink, but I wanted to combine the fringe with some beading so in the tighter spaces between the large panels, I added large teardrop glass beads in a delicate pink, suspended by two strings of gold and pink glass beads in a “V” shape. In the V, I added another bead feature, a gold glass bead that fills the space really nicely.
I finished everything in my favourite champagne gold braided trim, which is just so bougee and luxurious and glam and sexy.
